Throughout my artistic practice, I am currently focusing on exploring image making as a tool.
My work “Observation” is attempting to create interaction with a viewer. In this case, three self-made surveillance cameras are placed in a remote place – a Norwegian forest. The viewer can be confused or put into contemplation, pondering over the function and the meaning of the objects.
The ethics of digital image can become alarming. Are you behaving the way you would behave when you know that you are being watched? Furthermore, one might also feel insecure, not knowing who and why would be using that visual data.
